♥ 0 | Hi! I started off with the Basic Book Repair kit and have worked on a couple of books, but now I’m almost out of mull! I know you can use muslin as well, but I’m becoming a fan of replicating the materials used in the original binding. I didn’t see it in the store here and can’t seem to find it anywhere else. Is there anywhere I can get it by itself, or can I request it be added to the store here? I’d like to buy through here if I can, to support SaveYourBooks. Thanks! RESOLVED Marked as spam |
Private answer Omg, of course, seconds after sending this, I think I've found it on Amazon. I think it's this? That being said, if it becomes available in the shop, I'd still prefer to buy through here if I can. Marked as spam
Private answer Hi Jessica, I also recommend buying from https://www.talasonline.com/. In fact, they sell larger sheets of many things I have for sale. My goal is to offer smaller pieces so that you can try them out. I highly recommend Talas because of their expertise and customer service. Lineco specializes in supplies for library repairs which are not great for personal collections whereas Talas focuses mostly on the needs of conservators. I hope this helps! Marked as spam
Private answer That's perfect! Thank you!! Marked as spam |
