Small Book Restoration Detail

After consulting with Sophia, I was able to determine the right route to make a small restoration to this Dr. Seuss Book I found at a second hand bookstore. I have included a before and after of the work. I found that using an archival pen and going slowly while smudging it worked best to make the restoration look as natural as possible.
