| ♥ 0 | Hi Sophia I’d like to fix the cover on one of my paperbacks. The cover is starting to detach from the spine due to a tear. When I was looking in the paperback course section I noticed there was a course 5-103 that covered this; but it doesn’t look like that course is still up. Should I just build a hinge using tissue and paste to reattach the cover? Or is there another course you’d recommend?

| Private answer I looked and see that course is still in the draft phase. Repairing a tear in the cover relies on being able to split the paper cover and insert some Sekishu tissue (under the layer with the artwork) and across the gap. Using the book repair knife to get between the layers will help. I hope to be making some new courses soon. Marked as spam  Posted by Sophia S.W.
