♥ 0 | Hi Sophia My dad asked if I could repair and strengthen this book. It was a few issues and I’m wondering what order I should tackle them in. It’s a copy of a religious book, the Mahabharata, published in India in the 60s. Due to length of the book, the paper stock is relatively thin compared to what I’ve seen in novels from the era though not as thin as what I’ve seen in bibles. The original spine is totally gone and both hinges separated. The the cloth backing is actually in pretty good shape but the sewing on many of the signatures is loose. Then there are a few pages that are totally detached. Do you have recommendations on the best order to tackle these? I’m thinking tighten/re-sew the signatures, add the new spine, and then re-attach the detached pages but I’m just guessing. What order would you recommend? Also, which classes would you recommend for guidance? Thank you, Anil RESOLVED Marked as spam |
