Old Dust Jacket Protectors

0

Hi Sophia

My mom got these withdrawn school library copies of some Dr. Doolittle books from a free book exchange for me I think sometime in the late 70s/early 80s. The dust jackets have all been on since at least then, possibly since when the library got them between 1964-1969. They are Brodart, I think Plasti-Kleer Lifetime is the name for the line. Other than looking a bit dingier than my other jackets they seem to be in decent shape. But think they should be switched out for newer ones? Obviously these copies don’t have much value but I’d like to keep them intact.

Thank you,

Anil

Cool books! I would definitely replace the protective covers. If they are that old it is unlikely they were archival. Good Question. Keep 'em coming!
