How to reverse archival PVA?

I made new inner hinges on a paperback book using archival paper rather than the sekishu, only to quickly regret the decision! I used PVA, and the pages are quite acidic, so I’m wondering if and how it might be possible to reverse the bond. Apply heat to the spine using a hair dryer or dry iron through a protective piece of muslin?

Heat could work but you may be stuck just peeling a layer of the paper off.
