I am a Bible re-binder specializing in replacing cheap covers with leather. I also repair loose pages and reinforce spines and whatever might be necessary. I have a project that has come into my shop of a 19th century Bible that is has a fabric cover that is very ornate with embossing in the card stock that projects through the cloth. The spine fabric is completely detached. If not for the heavy embossing I would let another piece of fabric under the outside fabric to make this repair, but because of the embossing I am unable to that. I was wondering if you had any tricks to make this repair. By the way I have enjoyed your videos. Any help would be appreciated. I have a picture but do not know how to forward that to you. Thanks

It would be helpful if you can post a photo here. Without the photo I am thinking that you can probably split the board a bit to keep the embossing together. You may have to touch up the color on the edge to make it blend.
