Endsheet choice

0

I have a project that will need endsheets larger than I would normally look for. The text block will be at least 8-1/2 ” by 11″, perfect bound. If I were to use smaller sheets and “join” them together, is there a preferred technique to do so? Is there an alternative I need educated regarding? A cool source?

thank you for your time, gaylen

There is a way to create a joint between the two pages. This is very common in restoration as well as just a cool way to add another design element. It is basically just creating a smaller "end-sheet" that only extends from the text shoulder onto the board as a paste-down for about an inch or two. Then just tip on the fly-leaf and attach the paste-down. I hope this helps.
