Dark Tissue on White Paper (from 2-111b)

Dear classmates,

In lesson 2-111b (Preservation Repair for Outer Joint of a Book) it is mentioned you don’t usually attach dark coloured tissue onto white paper, however this lesson is a quick fix. However, I am interested how you would tackle the problem ‘correctly’.

Thank you.

Correctly sounds nice, but I have found that each situation demands thoughtful consideration. To be correct consider all factors and then act. I think what I meant in that situation is that a restoration always makes the effort to hide the repair. Matching colors is important for restoration but less important for preservation and repair.
