How to Remove an Old Library Pocket
This library pocket was part of a series of library issues that had to be removed on a half bound red leather set of Jane Austen. This video shows great detail on some of the issues that come up when removing a library pocket with water. Most likely the adhesive is an animal glue. No matter what it is made of, the important thing is that it can be reactivated with moisture. It also covers a bit about how to touch up the color that gets removed through the process.
