How to Reattach an Illustrated Plate in a Book with a Hinge
This seven minute video demonstrates how to reattach an illustrated plate. Using Sekishu tissue and Nori paste you can quickly fix up a loose plate in a book.
This is an archival treatment and is fully reversible with a bit of moisture.
Clean off the old glue and attach a thin strip of Japanese tissue using archival paste. Then attach the Japanese tissue as a hinge to the book.
Sometimes it is nice to reattach a plate this way instead of tipping it directly back in. It will function better this way.

Sound is poor. However I got most of the info just from the video.
Oh technology. Always trying to make it better.
