Book Anatomy
I made this video about book anatomy quite a few years ago. It still has good information. I explain the difference between case-bound and bound-in-boards books with illustrations. These are the two main kinds of book styles but there are many others. You might be thinking of paperbacks and pamphlet bound books right off the bat. There are many other kinds as well and there are some books devoted to just this topic such as Szirmai’s Archeology of Medieval Bookbinding which goes into incredible detail.
